Former Democrat Senator Kyrsten Sinema is facing explosive allegations after newly filed court documents revealed she admitted to carrying on sexual relationship with her married bodyguard in multiple cities across the United States while she was still serving in public office.

According to sworn filings submitted in federal court, Sinema acknowledged that her relationship with security officer Matthew Ammel became “romantic and intimate” in 2024, months before he separated from his wife, AP reported.

The stunning admission came as Sinema attempts to dismiss lawsuit filed by Ammel’s ex-wifewho accuses the former senator of destroying her 14-year marriage under North Carolina’s “alienation of affection” law, statute that allows spouses to sue third parties for interfering in their marriage.

In the sworn declaration, Sinema laid out timeline of encounters that reportedly took place in at least five different cities across the country.

According to the filing, the two were first physically intimate in May 2024 while Ammel was on security detail with Sinema in Sonoma, CaliforniaThe relationship then allegedly continued with additional encounters in:

  • New York City
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Aspen, Colorado
  • Phoenix, Arizona

Court records indicate the pair were intimate at least six times across those locations before Ammel eventually separated from his wife later that year.

More from Fox News:

The complaint accused Sinema of engaging in “intentional and malicious interference” in Ammel’s marriage and sought $25,000 in damages from Sinema as a result of allegedly “willful and wanton” conduct.

Neither the motion to dismiss, nor the sworn declaration Sinema submitted to the court, seeks to dispute the nature of her affair with Ammel — described as both “romantic and intimate.”

Rather, the filings argue that the case should be dropped because the communications in question occurred “exclusively outside” the boundaries of the Tar Heel state.

Combined, the new filings leave little to the imagination regarding the nature of the affair between Sinema and Ammel, which began in May 2024 in Sonoma, Calif., and involved months of phone calls, emails, and Signal messages, in addition to various romantic relations in cities across the U.S.

In order to succeed in the lawsuit, plaintiffs in an “alienation of affection” lawsuit must prove to the court three things: First, that the marriage had real affection and a viable relationship before any third-party involvement; second, that the “love and affection” were destroyed, or significantly diminished; and that the defendant directly “caused the destruction of that marital love and affection.”
